Vitrotem develops and markets systems and solutions for automated production of Graphene Liquid Cells (GLC), a breakthrough technology for the “in vitro” study of biological molecules and molecular processes in an electron microscope. GLCs uniquely enable the analysis of biological molecules and even whole living cells in liquid water in an electron microscope. Vitrotem focuses on the market of academic and industrial research in the field of molecular biology and systems biology. Vitrotem is funded by a consortium of public and private investors led by Nascent Ventures. Vitrotem is a spin-off from Leiden University.
